DIY WATER Bottle Stand

Water bottles have come a long way, in my part of Nairobi bottled water comes with fixed taps, eliminating the need for having a water dispenser…the penny-pincher I am, this makes a lot of sense, though I could also see the applications of these types of water bottles during camping trips, outdoor catering et al. That said, necessity being the mother of invention I had the need to create a simple and functional solution to hold the water bottle thus the stand.

Supply List

  • 3/4” x 3 3/4” 27’ actual common lumber boards

  • 1 1/2” screws

  • Wood paint (optional)

  • Clamps

Cut List

  • (4) 100 cm Legs

  • (6) 30 cm Shelf Support

  • (9) 33 cm Planks

Step 1 : Assemble the legs

  • Assemble the legs by attaching the shelve supports using the 1 1/2’ screws

  • Start with the shelf support at base of the legs then the second one at 63cm (this was the height that could accomodate my water bottle - you can adjust it according to your storage needs)

  • Repeat and create the other pair of legs the same way.

Step 2 :Attach the planks

  • You can choose to paint the piece or assmble it as is (If you plan to use different colors for the shelves and legs you should paint before final assembly).

  • Start with the planks at the bottom and the top first then finally attach the middle planks (you start with the ends cause its easier to keep things square especially if you do not have clamps).
